Tracy Aviary has a number of events for bird lovers of all ages coming up. From a special Salt Lake specific bird program to a birthday party to youth classes, the Tracy Aviary will be bustling this winter.

Whoo’s In Our City?: Join Tracy Aviary and TreeUtah at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14 for a program all about the urban forests and the native neighbors who live there. Discover the hidden wonders of local trees and the birds that depend on them, meet a live bird, create a crafty owl mask and delve into tree-focused exploration stations during this hour-long experience. The program is free with aviary admission.

Andy’s 53rd Bird-day Party: The Andean Condor, Andy, is turning 53 on Jan. 21 and community members are invited to honor him at a special party on that day, from 1 to 3 p.m. There will be games, crafts, cake, and an encounter with Andy himself.

Pre-K & Kindergarten Classes: Bring your little ones to stretch their wings with educators and birds in Tracy Aviary’s new Preschool and Kindergarten classes, beginning in February. Classes feature a special bird visitor, a related craft or activity, a snack, and an engaging story. All classes are designed for parents who want to attend and participate with their child. Participants registering for the full series of six classes will receive a discount. Space for each class is limited to 12.

The Tracy Aviary is at 589 East 1300 South. More details on each of these events can be found by calling or 801-596-8500 or visiting www.tracyaviary.org.
