Astrologer to teach true Sun Signs at Sprague Library

Even for those who don’t closely study astrology, many still can’t resist the urge to take a quick peak at what their horoscope says is in store for the future. There is a catch though: do you really know your sign?

Are you a Libra? Or a Sagittarius? Do you really know for sure? Astrologer Dayna Norris will be speaking at the Sprague Library, 2131 South 1100 East, on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 10:30 a.m. to clarify the misconceptions about how signs work.

“The Astrological signs you have been told all your life are not in line with astronomers,” Norris said. “The Sun Signs start a day later every 72 years. This means that every 2,100 years, there is a different sign at the Spring Equinox. Birthdays on the thirteenth, fourteenth, fifteenth, and sixteenth should be computer-verified.”

Norris lives in the Sugar House area. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Duke University with her BA of Religion and Political Science in 1972. She has been a Vedic (Hindu) Astrologer for 20 years and enjoys sharing her knowledge with those in her community.

For her presentation, she takes the birthdays of members from the audience and compares the sign they think they are to the sign that they really are and shows which is most accurate. She also uses celebrities’ signs as examples.

“The talk is really fun,” she said. “I think this is the kind of thing Sugar House likes.”
