Public invited to meet athletes at USANA Fest 2011

As part of the company’s annual convention, USANA is inviting the public to meet a number of athletes and Olympians at USANA Fest 2011. It happens on Wednesday, Aug. 24, starting at 6:30 p.m. at the EnergySolutions Arena, 301 West South Temple.

Anyone can come listen to live music, purchase tickets at the entrance to join in fun games, get a cartoon drawn of themselves, or even participate in climbing the rock wall with Werner Berger, hit the speed punching bag with Jose Rivera or shoot hoops with Jennifer Azzi. All proceeds will be donated to Children’s Hunger Fund, a non-profit organization that works to alleviate the suffering of children across America and around the world.

Athletes attending the event include: Derek Parra (Olympic gold medalist speedskater); Jose Rivera (boxer); Jennifer Azzi (Olympic gold medalist); Werner Berger (mountain climber); Matt Lowe (swimmer); Patrick Meek (Long Track speedskater); Katherine Reutter (Short Track speedskater); Rebekah Bradford (Long Track speedskater); Tani Mintz (Long Track speedskater); Lauren Cholewinski (Long Track speedskater); Emily Scott (Short Track speedskater); Travis Jayner (Short Track speedskater); and Alyson Dudek (Short Track speedskater).
