Open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Lunch served at noon for a suggested donation of $2.50 for 60 and up; under 60 is $5.25. Transportation is available for a suggested donation of $1 each way.

July 10, 11:15 a.m. – Caption Call Presentation. Reclaim your phone – and your life. Come learn about a revolutionary new telephone. (You could get one for FREE.)

July 11, 1 to 3 p.m. – Dr. Masihdas with Utah Eye Associates

July 12, 11 a.m. – Caring for Kids. Pre-K class singing group will sing for 15 minutes.

July 14, 4 p.m. – Bingo

July 17, 10:30 a.m. – Highland Ridge “Dealing with Real Life.” Refreshments provided.

July 19, 11 a.m. – Stroke Care. What you do to prevent a stroke. Presentation by Kelly with Intermountain Medical Center.

July 20, 4 p.m. – Participant Appreciation Dinner. All participants of FNSC invited to a free dinner sponsored by the Advisory Council. Everything is provided. Just bring you and join us for a great get together! Must be a member of the Friendly Neighborhood Senior Center and 60 and older.

June 21, 1:30 p.m. – Active Aging Choir Festival. Columbus Senior Center is pleased to sponsor the Active Aging 2012 Choir Festival, featuring 10 delightful choirs from throughout the county.

June 25, 11 a.m. – When Memory Fails You. Presentation by Kip DeWeese, Geriatric Nurse Practitioner from Salt Lake Regional Medical Center.

June 27, 10:30 a.m. – Special Book Club. A special book club with multi- published, award-winning author Cindy Christiansen. Read her book, “So You Think You Can Write.” She will discuss how to follow your dream of being a writer. In this informal class, discover what you should know before taking the plunge.

11 a.m. – Diabetes Support and Education. With Marie Hansen, R.N. from Encompass Home Health.

July 2, 11 a.m. – Patriotic Entertainment: Timesteppers Tap Dance Group

July 9, 11 a.m. – The Aging Eye Presentation. By the Moran Eye Center.

12:40 p.m. – Caption Phones. Come learn about caption phones, which are funded by the FCC for people who are hard of hearing. With this phone you can read every word of every call. You must have internet in order for the phone to work.

July 10, 7:40 a.m. – Wendover Trip. Trip on Trailways bus to Wendover. Cost: $18. Call the center to reserve your seat.

July 11, 11:30 a.m. – Senior Housing Opportunities. Presentation by Salt Lake County Housing Authority.

July 16, 11 a.m. – Play: “Nobody Famous.” Columbus Sr. Theater group presents the delightful play, “Nobody Famous” by D.M. Larson. Produced by special arrangement with www.freedrama.net.
