A new green space located in the Montessori Community School’s old swimming pool was dedicated on Nov. 9. Students from each grade level helped Mayor Peter Corroon cut the ribbon during the ceremony.

Beacon Heights Elementary was chosen to be the only school in the state to decorate the Utah tree at the National Christmas Tree Display in Washington, D.C. this year. Both sixth-grade classes worked with art specialist Donna Pence to make unique ornaments by hand.
